Our research and innovation projects focus on topics of the New Jersey building community – topics that lead to direct conclusions and actions. Some examples are:
a. Steven’s Institute’s Architecture & Engineering Students’ “SURE House” – a Global Competition which yields a fully resilient house that will withstand natural disasters. This project has produced numerous patents and will set a new standard in resilient and sustainable residential construction.
b. Innovation project (In Progress: Benchmarking study to document the performance of LEED Buildings and documenting the appraised value. This work is a joint effort of NJ Risk Management organizations, Building Professionals and our Emerging Professionals who are our next generation of leaders in Green Building Industries.
