Green Schools Committee

The Green Schools/ Education Committee focuses on the greening of New Jersey’s schools (both in their facilities and curriculum) as well as professional training for USGBC NJ members and the general public. Some of the events and programs we support include:

  • Green Apple Day Of Service–a global initiative that supports a shared mission to green every school within a generation
  • Coordinating tours of local outstanding green buildings
  • Skills4Jersey grant–investing in and improving the skills of the NJ workforce
  • Recovery4Jersey grant–training NJ businesses in recovery-related initiatives
  • LEED Core Curriculum and LEED Accreditation Exam Preparation
  • GPRO series which provides credentials to the Construction Trades including Construction Management and Project Management
